Tiny Tim – Tiny Tim’s 2nd Album – LP

Tiny Tim’s 2nd Album, produced by Richard Perry and released in late 1968, offers a deeper look into the artist’s range beyond his signature falsetto. This collection leans into more serious tones, with psychedelic pop textures weaving through traditional pop arrangements. Notable tracks like “Christopher Brady’s Old Lady,” which stretches to nearly six minutes, reveal Tiny Tim’s flair for engaging and extended storytelling, while his take on Jerry Lee Lewis’s “Great Balls Of Fire” highlights an unexpected adaptability to rock and roll staples. The album’s blend of whimsy and earnestness marks an intriguing chapter in Tiny Tim’s catalog, especially for listeners curious about his musical breadth. This 1969 vinyl pressing presents those moments with a respectable VG+ condition, meaning it carries some light surface marks and minor paper scuffs typical of regular listening but nothing that should overshadow the experience. The format is straightforward, making it a practical pick for those who want to explore Tiny Tim’s less flamboyant side without hunting down rarer editions. It’s a record that proves even the most eccentric artists have a few serious notes tucked away—no need to search the shelves too far for this one.
