The Tubes – TRASH

If you’re flipping through the bins and come across The Tubes’ *TRASH* from 1981, you’re holding a true gem of quirky, theatrical rock with a sharp edge. This album perfectly captures that early ’80s blend of new wave flair and hard-hitting rock energy, all wrapped up in the band’s signature sense of humor and flair for the dramatic. It’s the kind of record that feels like a wild, slightly off-kilter party — full of catchy hooks, infectious grooves, and a bit of irreverent attitude that makes it irresistibly fun. *TRASH* helped cement The Tubes as cult favorites, and it features their most recognizable hit that broke into the mainstream, bringing their unique blend of satire and rock theatrics to a wider audience. If you’re into music that’s as much performance art as it is rock, this one’s worth a spin.
