The Rivieras – Sing – LP

• Format: LP

Sing by The Rivieras offers a glimpse into early 60s American garage rock with a lineup that favors intimate, acoustic arrangements over the usual electric bravado. The album leans into focused listening, inviting you to settle in for tracks like “Count Every Star” and “Moonlight Serenade,” where a compact ensemble crafts melodies that feel both immediate and thoughtfully composed. The Rivieras’ sound here is far from the surf rock that dominated their era, presenting instead a more delicate balance of rhythm and harmony that rewards close attention. This vinyl pressing comes in very good plus condition, featuring glossy, clean grooves with only minor surface marks that won’t interfere with playback. While the pressing details remain a mystery, the record’s quality and the thoughtful acoustic ensemble performances make it a solid find for those looking to explore beyond the more familiar 60s garage rock territory. It’s the kind of album that might just encourage you to rethink where to park it on your shelf—sometimes the quieter corners hold the most interesting stories.
