Time Peace: The Rascals’ Greatest Hits collects the spirited soul-rock blend that propelled The Rascals from their start as The Young Rascals into a band with a string of memorable singles like “Good Lovin” and “Groovin.” Their knack for combining tight acoustic interplay with energetic vocals makes this compilation a solid snapshot of their mid-60s sound, showcasing tracks that range from the punchy “Mustang Sally” to the more reflective “How Can I Be Sure.” The group’s chemistry is clear, especially with the interplay between Felix Cavaliere’s keyboards and Dino Danelli’s drumming driving the groove. This 1968 pressing offers a vintage listening experience on vinyl, with a condition that fits well within everyday use—it carries the expected light surface marks and minor scuffs of a well-played record but nothing that should overshadow the music. The collection’s focused listening appeal makes it a practical pick for anyone interested in a compact ensemble that bridged rock and soul with genuine flair. If your shelves have room for a dose of 60s energy without the usual clutter, this record might just find a comfortable spot.
