Sharp by The Moments offers a rich blend of funk, soul, and disco that highlights the group’s smooth vocal harmonies and tight arrangements. Produced by Sylvia Robinson alongside The Moments and Tommy Keith, this 1978 release features orchestrations by Sammy Lowe, lending a polished touch to tracks like “I’ll Be Around” and “Disco Man.” The album reflects a focused listening experience, with an acoustic ensemble feel that lets each musician’s contribution stand out without overwhelming the vocals. If you appreciate soul records where every note counts, this one holds its own with a thoughtful balance between groove and melody. This pressing on Stang Records (catalog ST-1034) comes sealed, preserving the vinyl in untouched condition—a reminder that sometimes the best way to enjoy a record is to let it keep its secrets until the needle drops. The album’s presentation in this original 1978 vinyl format offers a tactile connection to the era’s sound and style. Collectors and listeners can expect a clean, well-pressed disc ready to bring The Moments’ soulful narratives and dance-floor rhythms to life with clarity and depth.
