The Dells – The Dells – LP

The Dells’ 1987 self-titled album gathers some of their most memorable tracks from the ’60s and ’70s, including the heartfelt “There Is” and the timeless groove of “Give Your Baby A Standing Ovation.” This collection highlights the group’s smooth harmonies and Marvin Junior’s distinctive baritone, capturing moments like their first No. 1 R&B hit with “Stay In My Corner.” It’s a neat snapshot of a vocal group that balanced soul and sophistication with ease—proof that their love songs have stood the test of time without needing to shout for attention. This pressing from 1987 offers a solid vinyl listening experience on a single LP format, with the record in VG++ condition, meaning the surface is glossy and very clean aside from minor, light paper scuffs that shouldn’t affect playback. Whether you’re revisiting the era or exploring The Dells for the first time, this copy presents their classic sound clearly—just the kind of harmony to keep the needle steady and the mood right.
