Delfonics Return offers a glimpse into the smooth, soulful style that The Delfonics cultivated with their distinctive blend of vocal harmonies and subtle acoustic arrangements. Known for their elegant approach to focused listening, this 1981 release includes tracks like “The Way Things Are” and “I’ve Got Everything,” which showcase the group’s knack for weaving gentle melodies with thoughtful lyrics. While the album sits comfortably alongside contemporaries like The Moments and Intruders, it carries its own quiet confidence—proving that sometimes less is more when it comes to soul. This vinyl pressing from 1981 brings the album to life with a clean, glossy surface that’s mostly free from wear, marked only by faint, light scuffs typical of careful handling. Graded VG++, it should provide a satisfying listening experience without demanding a microscope. For anyone who appreciates a compact acoustic ensemble with a polished yet understated delivery, this LP is a solid addition—after all, not every group needs a brass section to make a statement.
