Peggy Lee’s Mirrors offers a refined listening experience where her jazz vocals float effortlessly over intimate acoustic arrangements. This 1975 pressing invites you into a world of subtle storytelling, with tracks like “Ready To Begin Again” and “Some Cats Know” highlighting Lee’s knack for blending emotional nuance with sophisticated phrasing. The album’s focused approach sets it apart from her more mainstream outings, making it a rewarding listen for those who appreciate a quieter, more personal side of her artistry. This vinyl comes in very good plus condition, with a glossy surface showing only minimal signs of light handling, ensuring a clean playback. The pressing year places it well before the album’s 2003 release date, hinting at a curious journey through formats and editions that collectors often find intriguing. If your collection leans toward jazz vocalists who share a subtle rapport with legends like Nat King Cole or Ella Fitzgerald, this record fits smoothly alongside them—even if it’s the only one on your shelf that might prompt a double take at the date.
