Hot Tuna – Double Dose – 2xLP

Hot Tuna – Double Dose

Hot Tuna’s Double Dose is a vintage 1978 vinyl capturing the band’s blend of rock, blues, and folk rock. Formed by Jefferson Airplane alumni Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady, Hot Tuna’s core collaboration drives the album’s sound. The record features a mix of electric and acoustic tracks that showcase Kaukonen’s guitar work and Casady’s bass lines. Songs like “Winin’ Boys Blues” and “Embryonic Journey” highlight the band’s roots in traditional blues alongside more experimental compositions. This pressing includes two records, both graded VG+, indicating minor surface marks but overall good playability with minimal background noise. Double Dose reflects Hot Tuna’s ongoing evolution within the American blues rock scene during the late 1970s.
