Gordon Lightfoot – Shadows – LP

Gordon Lightfoot – Shadows

Shadows brings Gordon Lightfoot’s folk and folk-rock side into focus, with a track list that includes “Karat Gold,” “In My Fashion,” “Blackberry Wine,” and the title song. The appeal is straightforward: Lightfoot’s songwriting is front and center, making this a useful pickup for anyone filling in beyond the best-known records in his catalog. This is a 1982 vintage vinyl pressing, priced at $12, so it’s an affordable Lightfoot copy with clear period appeal. The record is graded VG+, a solid everyday listening grade where a few light lines, sleeve marks, or small scuffs may be present, but not wear that should dominate the music. For the money, this copy offers a nice balance of vintage pressing context, approachable price, and usable condition.
