George Benson’s Breezin’ stands out as a smooth blend of jazz guitar finesse and soulful vocals, with tracks like “This Masquerade” and the breezy title cut offering a relaxed yet polished listening experience. Coming from a Pittsburgh-born artist known for his skillful interplay between guitar and voice, this album finds a sweet spot between focused listening and accessible grooves, inviting fans of Herbie Hancock’s era to explore its melodic warmth. Benson’s quartet keeps the mood intimate without sacrificing sophistication, making it a refined choice for those who appreciate jazz with a touch of soul. The record has a VG+ grade, meaning it carries some light surface marks and minor scuffs typical of careful previous use but nothing that should overshadow the music’s clarity. Breezin’ fits nicely into a collection where quality pressing and authentic sound meet; it’s a record that reminds you the phrase “easy listening” doesn’t have to mean easy to find.
