Foreigner – 4 – LP

Foreigner – 4

Foreigner’s 4 arrived on Atlantic Records in 1981 as the British-American band’s fourth studio album, with its title also pointing to the lineup’s reduction from six members to four. Produced by Robert John “Mutt” Lange and Mick Jones, the album moved Foreigner toward a more accessible mainstream rock and pop direction while keeping enough arena-rock weight to fit the band’s early-’80s peak. That balance helped make 4 a major worldwide commercial success, including 10 total weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Its release also landed right as MTV launched, giving the album extra early-’80s rock context. The track list includes Foreigner staples such as “Urgent,” “Juke Box Hero,” “Waiting for a Girl Like You,” and “Break It Up.” This copy is a 1981 Japan import vinyl pressing graded VG++, meaning the record looks glossy and very clean overall, with only one or two very small light marks, sleeve scuffs, or faint lines expected.
