Foreigner’s 1981 album 4 stands as a polished snapshot of early ’80s rock, blending memorable hooks with a radio-ready sheen. Tracks like “Juke Box Hero” and “Waiting For A Girl Like You” offer a mix of driving riffs and smooth balladry that helped define the band’s presence beyond their initial ’70s success. The album’s title might be succinct, but its content delivers a broad spectrum—from the urgent energy of “Urgent” to the moody tones of “Woman In Black,” illustrating Foreigner’s knack for balancing arena rock anthems with more introspective moments. This pressing from 1981 comes on vinyl in very clean condition, showing only minor surface marks typical for its age that shouldn’t interrupt playback. Graded VG++, it’s glossy and well cared for, making it a practical choice for collectors or fans looking to add a solid example of this era’s mainstream rock to their shelves. If you’ve ever wondered where to park a record that’s both chart-friendly and just a little mysterious with its title, 4 might just claim that spot without fuss.
