Elliot Smith – Heatmiser

Elliot Smith – Heatmiser: Cop and Speeder

Cop and Speeder is Heatmiser’s second studio album, released by Frontier Records in 1994, and it carries a notable Elliott Smith connection beyond his role as a member of the band. Smith described it as his favorite Heatmiser album, which gives this record extra pull for listeners exploring the band side of his work. The album runs 14 tracks and was recorded at MusicCraft, City Lights, and Whitehorse Studios, grounding it firmly in Heatmiser’s own story rather than treating it as a footnote. This is a new vinyl pressing priced at $28, still sealed in its original shrink wrap. Since it remains sealed, the record has not been opened for inspection or play-grading, but the unopened condition is the main copy-specific appeal here. Elliot Smith. Heatmiser: Cop and Speeder.
