Deftones’ _Ohms_ stands out as a focused listening experience that blends their signature intensity with precise production, thanks in large part to longtime collaborator Terry Date. The album explores textured layers across tracks like “Genesis” and “Ceremony,” balancing atmospheric depth with the band’s characteristic energy. It’s a mature entry in their catalog, where Sergio Vega’s bass and Chino Moreno’s vocals intertwine seamlessly with Frank Delgado’s subtle electronics and Abe Cunningham’s rhythmic foundation. The presence of an acoustic ensemble feel on certain moments adds an unexpected intimacy to the mix. This 2025 pressing arrives sealed, ensuring pristine vinyl free from any handling marks or wear, making it a solid choice for those seeking a fresh copy. The 12-inch format offers a visually straightforward presentation, and the sealed condition guarantees that the grooves are untouched, a neat advantage when hunting for a fresh listen or a collector’s pristine addition. If you’ve ever found Deftones’ world a place where noise and nuance coexist, _Ohms_ holds that line firmly—no need to cross it twice.
