Commodores – Live! – 2xLP

Commodores – Live!

This 1977 vintage pressing of Commodores’ Live! captures the band’s dynamic stage presence during a peak period of their career. Known for blending funk, soul, and disco, the Commodores were influential in shaping 1970s soul music, with Lionel Richie’s songwriting contributing to their crossover success. While this live album showcases energetic performances of tracks like “Won’t You Come Dance With Me” and “Just to Be Close to You,” it reflects the band’s tight musicianship and crowd engagement. The Commodores’ impact extends beyond this release, as Richie’s ballads such as “Easy” helped define their sound and influenced later artists. This vinyl is graded VG+ on both records, indicating minor surface marks but overall clean playback with light background noise. Live!.
