Commodores – Greatest Hits

This 1978 vintage vinyl pressing of Commodores’ Greatest Hits compiles key tracks from the band’s early Motown years, showcasing their blend of funk, soul, and pop. The album features standout songs like “Brick House” and “Easy,” which highlight the group’s ability to fuse danceable grooves with smooth balladry. The Commodores were known for their tight musicianship and Lionel Richie’s distinctive vocals, both central to the album’s appeal. Released by Motown, this collection captures the band at a peak moment before Richie’s solo career took off. The vinyl is graded VG+, indicating minor hairline marks and some package wear, but it should play well with only light background noise. This pressing offers a solid listening experience of the Commodores’ influential sound from the late 1970s.
