Cat Stevens – Izitso – LP

Cat Stevens – Izitso

Izitso caught Cat Stevens at a notable reset point, bringing electronic touches into his folk-rock singer-songwriter world and following Numbers with a stronger commercial comeback. Cat Stevens co-produced the album with David Kershenbaum, and the sessions included notable players such as Chick Corea, giving the record a little extra pull beyond the usual late-’70s catalog entry. It is a good pick for listeners who know the classic Cat Stevens records but want to hear where he was headed as the decade changed. This is a 1977 vinyl pressing, matching the album’s original release year without making any first-pressing claim. At $10, it is an affordable Cat Stevens vinyl copy with solid everyday appeal. The record is graded VG+, so expect a few light lines, sleeve marks, or small scuffs, but not wear that should dominate the music.
