A Cabbage Patch Christmas offers a cozy collection of holiday tunes performed with a simple acoustic ensemble that invites focused listening. The album blends traditional favorites like “Deck The Halls” and “Sleigh Ride” with original songs such as “One More Dream ‘Til Christmas” and “Mrs. Santa Claus,” creating a warm atmosphere that fits nicely alongside the gentle storytelling style associated with Tom Chapin and his musical family. The mix of carols and fresh compositions makes it a thoughtful choice for those who appreciate seasonal music with a folk-inflected touch. This 1984 vinyl pressing presents the album on classic black vinyl, offering a practical way to enjoy these holiday songs on turntable without fuss. The record is graded VG+, indicating it plays well with only minor surface marks or light paper scuffs that shouldn’t interfere noticeably with sound quality. It’s a solid option for listeners looking to add a focused, acoustic seasonal album to their collection, especially one that stands apart from the usual holiday fare by leaning into intimate, story-driven performances. In a crate full of holiday records, this one quietly reminds you that sometimes the best gifts come wrapped in simplicity. Cabbage Patch Kids.
