Aerosmith – Rocks – LP

Aerosmith’s 1976 album Rocks stands out for its raw hard rock and heavy metal energy, capturing the band at a peak creative moment. The cover art’s clever use of five diamonds on a mirror nods to both the band members and the album’s title slang, adding a visual wink to the rock ’n’ roll lifestyle. Ranking number 366 on Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time in 2020, Rocks is a milestone in Aerosmith’s catalog and in the genre. This 1976 pressing presents the album on vinyl with a grade that suggests it’s ready for regular play—expect some light surface marks or paper scuffs typical of a well-kept copy, but nothing that should interfere significantly with the listening experience. For anyone curating a collection of classic hard rock or exploring Aerosmith’s evolution, this vinyl offers a solid, authentic snapshot of their mid-’70s sound. It’s a record that proves even diamonds can be a little rough around the edges.
