Abba – Voulez Vous – LP

Abba’s Voulez Vous captures the Swedish group’s embrace of disco with tracks like the dancefloor-ready “Voulez-Vous” and the catchy “Does Your Mother Know,” notable for being sung by Björn Ulvaeus rather than the usual female leads. The album also features “I Have A Dream,” a song that gained renewed life as the theme for the 1999 film Mamma Mia!, underscoring Abba’s lasting cultural footprint. Beyond the music, the album’s blend of pop hooks and disco rhythms marks a distinctive moment in Abba’s catalog, reflecting their adaptability and broad appeal. This 1979 Japanese import pressing comes with the original obi strip, a detail that collectors often appreciate for its visual and historical context. The vinyl itself is in VG++ condition, meaning it’s glossy and very clean with only minor, light surface marks typical of careful use. It’s a reminder that even in the world of disco, presentation can be just as important as the groove.
